In July, 2014, Mr. Macy became full-time Executive Director of Guardian Community Trust, Inc., a non-profit, special-needs trustee for more than 500 elderly and disabled individuals in Massachusetts. Pursuant to this appointment, effective October 1, 2014, Mr. Macy has discontinued taking new clients and new matters as a private attorney, and has assigned most of his existing law cases and private trustee appointments to successor counsel and/or successor trustees. He will continue as counsel on cases that are winding up, and as trustee for a small number of private trusts that he has served for a number of years, where finding a replacement trustee is not practical.
